“Today, beyond the vertigo that the act of painting provokes in me, I believe that my obsession is to bring an invented world to life. Through my material, to give it a reality, to tell a story that we believe in. I seek to provoke an emotion and take the viewer into my reveries so that they escape with me. ”

Antoine Roegiers is a Belgian artist born in 1980 in Braine l'Alleud.
He began his career painting and drawing before devoting himself to video creation. He explores and extends the work of Flemish painters, drawing inspiration from the works of Bosch, Bruegel, and Rubens.
The transmission of inspiration between generations is a recurring theme in Roegiers' work and also allows him to introduce the Old Masters to new audiences by blending his expertise in great classical painting with contemporary animation techniques.
Roegiers is known for his thematic series, which have varied greatly over the years, ranging from hyperrealistic images to portraits of children, including the Flemish Renaissance style.
Antoine Roegiers artworks are part of several private collections in France, as well as in Germany, Switzerland and Belgium.
